The vision of the “COMMUNITAS” Association is to have prosperous rural communities in the country of Moldova.

Mission

The mission of the “COMMUNITAS” Association is to contribute to a social, economical and spiritual transformation in different communities from the Republic of Moldova.

The association’s goals are to contribute to:

• Socio-economic development, especially in the South-Eastern region of the Republic of Moldova;
• Small and medium sized business development that will bring a positive socio-economic impact to the community while reducing migration, unemployment and poverty;
• Promotion of business administration methods based on Christian values and democratic principles while respecting the legal requirements of the Republic of Moldova.

The association’s activities are:

• Organizing and participating in seminars, conferences, trainings, etc.;
• Analyzing problems of a socio-juridical nature faced by Moldova that directly impact the rights and fundamental liberties of individuals;
• According assistance to socially vulnerable people;
• According consultative, analytical, evaluation and monitoring assistance in all socio-economic sectors and spheres conforming to the legislative requirements;
• Elaborating, implementing, evaluating and monitoring different projects at the local/national level with the goal of developing socio-economic and human potential in the Republic of Moldova;
• Organizing activities for children, youth, and other social categories (summer camps, clubs, trainings, contests, etc.).

History

“COMMUNITAS” was founded by Anatolie Malancea, Andrei Malancea, Iulia Malancea and Igor Prisac from the village of Antoneşti who had a vision to change the South-Eastern region of Moldova socially and economically. The first step was taken when the family Malancea bought a building in Antoneşti for the purpose of creating a Community and Training Center. Soon after, the vision was enlarged to include the idea of spreading these activities throughout the country and to other countries that face the same problems as the South-Eastern region of Moldova. Therefore, the group from Antonesti founded a juridical organization known as the “COMMUNITAS” Association (registered on April, 25 2007 with the registration number 3859 at the Ministry of Justice from Moldova).

Currently, the “COMMUNITAS” Association is also working in the South-Eastern region of the country on projects such as: business seminars, computer seminars, business consulting biodiesel seminars, pasta processing, tailoring, sport fields, etc., which encompass the goal of developing the region socially and economically.
